A truly beautiful destination wedding at Villa del Balbianello on Lake Como

With 75 guests, this wedding was intimate yet full of style, curated to create unforgettable moments for everyone present.
Getting ready at Grand Hotel Tremezzo
The wedding day began at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, where the bride and groom prepared in a setting of Italian luxury and soft light.
The groom and guests reached Villa del Balbianello by a large boat crossing the lake, a cinematic arrival that immediately set the tone for the celebration. The bride followed later by Riva Aquarama together with her family, a timeless entrance on the smooth water, iconic and unforgettable.
Ceremony in Loggia Durini
Guests were welcomed in the Canfora area with sparkling wine and infused waters, refreshing and elegant.
The ceremony took place in Loggia Durini, framed by climbing ivy, historic stone and a panoramic view over Lake Como. The all-black dress code of the guests created a visual signature that felt modern and bold. The contrast with the soft florals made the color palette stand out even more in photos.
The bridal party opened the procession, six bridesmaids and six groomsmen with family following soon after. Violin and cello filled the space with emotion.
Florals followed a palette of white, blush and green. Two large antique grey vases displayed roses, dahlias, hydrangeas and mixed greenery while a floral lined aisle guided the bride toward the spot where she would soon say yes. The arrangement created depth, softness and a natural romantic frame for the couple.
Aperitif and Riva Aquarama boat ride
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed an aperitif in the Canfora area with live sax on tracks. The atmosphere was refined and relaxed.
Meanwhile, the couple spent time together on a private photo boat ride aboard the Riva Aquarama. This was one of the most cinematic moments of the day.
Dinner in Loggia Segré, candlelight and floral warmth
Dinner was served in Loggia Segré. The design reveals long tables in ivory tones, crystal glassware and low floral compositions echoing the same soft palette of the ceremony. Roses, dahlias and delicate greenery stretched across the table lines creating a visual rhythm. Slim candles in glass holders illuminated the room as the evening light faded.
The architecture of the Loggia framed cypress trees and lake views through arched windows. When night fell, the room glowed warm and intimate.
Cake Cutting in Loggia Durini
The millefoglie wedding cake covered in fresh red fruits and blueberries was cut beneath Loggia Durini. Cold fountains lit the space, adding sparkle to the celebration. A moment full of presence and shared happiness.
First dance, DJ and night boat return
The first dance opened an energetic party led by a DJ set that kept guests dancing late into the night. When the celebration came to an end, guests returned to the hotel by boat, lights reflecting softly on the lake. The night atmosphere felt dreamy and cinematic.
A three-day celebration
The Day Before: Bridal party lunch at Ristorante Il Gatto Nero in Cernobbio continued with a two-hour boat party including aperitifs, dinner on board and a panoramic tour of the lake. This was a wonderful experience that allowed all foreign guests to discover the beauty of Lake Como from the water, its villas, mountains and soft evening light unfolding around them like a postcard come to life.
The Day After: Brunch and pool party at Lido di Cernobbio concluded this three-day wedding experience with relaxed music, sunshine and laughter. A farewell celebration filled with music, lake view swims and pure fun, the perfect way to say goodbye before everyone returned home.
