A sumptuous wedding at Palazzo Borghese

A private celebration among monumental rooms, white flowers and golden details

This wedding at Palazzo Borghese brought together around thirty guests in the heart of Florence, in one of the city’s most striking historic residences. The couple chose to share the day with the people closest to them, creating an intimate celebration in a sumptuous setting.

From getting ready at Four Seasons to the ceremony in the Hall of Mirrors, from dinner in the Gallery to the party, each moment had its own atmosphere. White flowers, candles and golden details accompanied the entire day, while music and a surprise from the bride made the reception even more personal.

Getting ready at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze

The bride’s day began at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, a historic hotel where frescoes, elegant furnishings and rooms overlooking the garden capture the charm of Florence’s grand residences. An intimate and refined setting in which to spend the hours before the ceremony.

The final touches to her hair and make-up, her dress and the arrival of the bouquet marked the preparations. Composed entirely of white roses, the bouquet echoed the palette chosen for the wedding.

The bride’s dress, with its soft, flowing lines, completed an elegant and contemporary look. The white fabric and simplicity of the silhouette created a beautiful contrast with the richly decorated interiors that would host the celebration. Once ready, the bride made her way to Palazzo Borghese.

A wedding at Palazzo Borghese in the heart of Florence

Palazzo Borghese is an aristocratic residence with a neoclassical character, its richly decorated rooms preserving the charm of Florence’s grand receptions. Beyond the façade, the interiors reveal frescoes, stucco work, columns and large mirrors.

Crystal chandeliers, gilded decorations and monumental ceilings make the interiors particularly striking. The Hall of Mirrors and the Gallery are among the most evocative spaces, lending the celebration a sumptuous atmosphere from the moment the guests arrive.

The guests were welcomed in the Sala Rosa and Salotto di Mezzo before making their way to the Hall of Mirrors for the ceremony. Dinner and the evening celebrations then took place in the Gallery. Moving between these rooms allowed everyone to experience the palace’s different atmospheres throughout the day.

An all-white ceremony in the Hall of Mirrors

The ceremony took place in the Hall of Mirrors, where gilded decorations and grand chandeliers framed an entirely white design. The mirrors reflected the flowers and candlelight, making the room even more luminous.

Vases of white flowers and candles defined the aisle along the bride’s path. On either side of the ceremony area, fuller arrangements on gold stands of varying heights completed the setting. The floral design featured no greenery, maintaining a consistent palette of white and gold.

A harp and violin accompanied the guests’ welcome and the most meaningful moments of the ceremony. The bride walked down the aisle alone, joining the groom before the guests gathered in the room.

The intimate scale of the wedding allowed everyone to experience the ceremony up close. In such a richly decorated space, the white floral design and live music created a romantic and intimate atmosphere.

An aperitif in the palace’s salons

After the ceremony, the guests returned to the Sala Rosa and Salotto di Mezzo for the aperitif. A saxophonist provided a live soundtrack to toasts and conversation, while the open bar marked the beginning of the more convivial part of the day. Before dinner, the guests had time to enjoy one another’s company in the palace’s elegant salons.

Dinner in the monumental Gallery

For dinner, the guests entered the Gallery, where a single long banquet table brought everyone together with the newlyweds. Beneath the chandeliers and decorated ceiling, the table followed the room’s perspective, creating an impressive setting while preserving the private character of the reception.

Ivory table linen and napkins were paired with gold-and-ivory charger plates and bread plates, gold cutlery and glasses with a delicate gold rim. Gold chairs echoed the same style, creating continuity with the Gallery’s decorations.

Along the table, white flowers and numerous candles completed the tablescape. The floral arrangements and candlelight created a warm, romantic atmosphere, while the golden details gave the table a sumptuous character in harmony with the palace’s interiors.

The single-table layout allowed the couple to share dinner with all their guests. A reception carefully considered down to the smallest detail, enjoyed with the closeness and conviviality of a celebration among loved ones.

Music and a surprise during dinner

During dinner, the DJ accompanied the evening discreetly. The music left room for conversation, gradually becoming more lively as the reception unfolded.

Between courses, the bride surprised the groom with an oriental dance performance, joining the dancers herself. Red and amber lighting transformed the atmosphere of the Gallery, highlighting its columns and decorations. An engaging moment that drew the guests into the celebration and shared one of the bride’s passions.

A change of dress and the cake cutting

After dinner, the bride changed into a second look for the evening celebrations. A fashionable touch that marked the transition from the elegance of the reception to the more festive part of the night.

The guests then gathered in the Gallery for the cutting of a delicious sponge cake with whipped cream and raspberries. White flowers and candles echoed the day’s styling, creating a luminous setting around the couple. After the toast, the groom shared a few words with the guests.

The first dance and the party

After the bouquet toss, the guests watched the newlyweds’ first dance before joining them on the dance floor. The DJ set opened the party with a selection of music chosen to reflect the couple’s preferences.

The lighting gave the Gallery a completely different atmosphere from dinner, while the open bar and dessert buffet accompanied the evening celebrations. The party continued with the couple and their guests gathered together to dance and celebrate.

This wedding at Palazzo Borghese combined the magnificence of a historic Florentine residence with an intimate, personal celebration. The white-and-gold styling, live music, the bride’s surprise and the party in the Gallery gave the day an elegant and lively character, shared with the people closest to the couple.

From our very first conversation, she demonstrated patience, creativity, and a deep understanding of our vision. I can confidently say that I am a very detail-oriented and demanding person when it comes to aesthetics and execution. I had a very specific vision for the day and made numerous custom requests that were far from conventional, yet Daniela went above and beyond to accommodate every single one of them.
