I strongly believe that opportunities fly into your life when you least expect them, especially if you’re feeling defeated. As you may already know, “SugarEvents” came to life in a very dark period of my life. Who would have hired a 40-year-old woman who recently lost the job of a lifetime, with a toddler to take care of?
One evening, as I was dwelling on my fears about the future, I asked a very close friend of mine for advice and I still remember her answer: “Leave behind you everything you’ve done so far, your studies and your previous job”. She suggested me to start from the beginning and think of what made me really happy, what passions and hobbies I loved the most… and so I did. It took me a few minutes but it eventually came to me, hitting me like a ton of bricks: my wedding!
You have to believe me when I say that I loved every minute of it: from choosing the perfect villa to saying my personal “yes to the dress!” and then selecting the flowers, the menu, the music, the photographers and so on!
It all started as a nightmare, then it became an opportunity and now it’s a successful business that I love more that I could possibly say.
