A private and elegant celebration in the heart of Lake Garda
Some weddings captivate with their grandeur, while others touch the heart through intimacy, attention to detail and the privilege of sharing every moment with only the most important people.
This intimate wedding at Isola del Garda belonged entirely to the latter: a celebration reserved for just fifteen guests and designed as a private, elegant and deeply personal experience.
Surrounded by the waters of Lake Garda, with its historic villa, frescoed Loggia and magnificent gardens overlooking the lake, Isola del Garda provided a setting suspended in time.
Every moment was carefully designed to reflect the couple’s style. Live music accompanied the entire day, while a delicate and refined floral design enhanced each space without ever overpowering it.
Getting Ready at Grand Hotel Fasano
The day began in the elegant suites of Grand Hotel Fasano in Gardone Riviera.
The bride prepared surrounded by some of the people closest to her, in an intimate and familiar atmosphere. It was a moment filled with anticipation and all those small gestures that precede the beginning of an unforgettable day.
The groom also got ready at the hotel before reaching the private dock with his closest family members.
From there, their journey to the island began.
The couple’s arrival by boat
Reaching Isola del Garda by boat makes the journey to the venue an integral part of the experience.
The groom arrived first so that he could personally welcome the guests as they stepped ashore. It was a simple and heartfelt gesture, perfectly in keeping with the intimate nature of the celebration.
Shortly afterwards, the bride departed from Grand Hotel Fasano aboard a private boat. Her arrival on the island, with the villa slowly coming into view and the lake providing a spectacular backdrop, was one of the most memorable moments of the day.
It was a discreet yet cinematic entrance that perfectly captured the elegance of a destination wedding on Lake Garda.
An all-white ceremony in the Loggia
Before the ceremony, the guests were welcomed in front of the Loggia by two violinists performing on elegant podiums. Their music introduced everyone to the atmosphere of the event and created a particularly striking welcome.
The ceremony then took place in the historic Loggia of Isola del Garda, surrounded by frescoes, elegant architecture and beautiful views of the landscape beyond.
The floral design featured an entirely white palette. Two structures of different heights framed the ceremony area: the taller one formed a delicate semi-arch, while the lower structure complemented it with soft lines and flowers curving gently inwards.
Along the aisle, small arrangements of all-white flowers decorated the seats, creating a harmonious path towards the Loggia.
A string trio accompanied the most meaningful moments of the ceremony, from the couple’s entrances and the exchange of rings to their joyful exit.
With only fifteen guests present, every word, glance and gesture took on an even deeper meaning. The intimate atmosphere allowed everyone to feel truly involved, making the ceremony both authentic and deeply emotional.
Aperitif in the Italian Garden
After the ceremony, the guests followed the couple to the Italian Garden, where the aperitif was served.
A live jazz trio, performing a repertoire inspired by jazz and bossa nova, accompanied the moment with effortless elegance. Between conversations, toasts and photographs, the guests were able to enjoy the beauty of the gardens and the magnificent panoramic views.
The atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, perfectly expressing the private character of the wedding.
During the aperitif, the couple also enjoyed a boat ride followed by a private photo shoot. Away from their guests for a little while, they had the opportunity to capture the beautiful light on the lake and the feeling of being alone, surrounded by water.
An elegant dinner in the Loggia
The guests returned to the Loggia for dinner, where they discovered a long curved mirrored table at the centre of the space, creating a contemporary and unexpected setting.
Its sinuous shape followed the architecture of the Loggia beautifully, while its reflective surface amplified the candlelight and every detail of the design.
The floral arrangements continued the all-white palette of the ceremony, enriched with delicate touches of the palest pink. Light, deliberately deconstructed compositions alternated along the table with small floral accents, antique-pink candles and countless points of light.
Gold candelabras of varying heights, transparent glass candleholders and mercury-glass vessels contributed to a warm, sophisticated and enveloping atmosphere.
The design enhanced the table’s distinctive shape while preserving the sense of intimacy that had characterised the entire day.
A dinner accompanied by music
The couple’s entrance into the Loggia officially marked the beginning of dinner.
Immediately afterwards, a soprano surprised the guests with several celebrated pieces from the Italian operatic tradition, including O Mio Babbino Caro and Con Te Partirò.
The evening unfolded at a leisurely pace, with each course interspersed with music and speeches from those closest to the couple. Heartfelt words, memories and emotions made the dinner feel even more personal.
After the main course, the soprano’s voice once again filled the Loggia with other great Italian classics. Outside, the sunset slowly descended over the lake. Inside, music, heartfelt words and shared emotions transformed the dinner into one of the most moving moments of the day.
Cake cutting in front of the tower
After dinner, the guests moved to the area in front of the tower for the cake cutting.
This setting also reflected the evening’s floral design, with small coordinated arrangements and candles protected by tall glass holders. Their glow, together with an elegant chandelier, created a warm and enchanting atmosphere around the cake table.
The soprano concluded her performances with Libiamo ne’ lieti calici and Funiculì Funiculà, bringing a lively and unmistakably Italian finale to the evening.
The celebration then continued with a party and dessert buffet. It was a joyful and informal moment during which the couple could celebrate and dance with the people closest to them.
This intimate wedding at Isola del Garda demonstrated that the value of a celebration is not determined by the number of guests, but by the quality of the experience and the care devoted to every single moment.
