Passionate about good wine, Italian cuisine and the bucolic charm of the countryside, they fulfilled their dream by saying “I do” in the historic Church of San Michele Arcangelo in Perugia, one of Italy’s oldest churches, famous for its circular structure and mystical atmosphere.
The Ceremony in the Heart of Perugia
San Michele Arcangelo is truly evocative, with its exposed brick walls, circular nave, and sixteen ancient columns that create a sense of intimacy and reverence. The ceremony unfolded to the enchanting notes of a pianist and an opera singer, whose voices filled the church with timeless emotion, an unforgettable moment for everyone present.
The Reception at Torre di Pila
After the ceremony, guests moved to La Torre di Pila, an elegant seventeenth-century villa just outside Perugia, surrounded by the breathtaking Umbrian landscape. From its stone tower, the view stretches across the rolling hills toward Assisi, Perugia and Lake Trasimeno — a picture-perfect backdrop for this unforgettable wedding in Umbria.
Guests were welcomed in the Italian garden for an aperitif featuring local delicacies and fine wines, while a live jazz quartet created the perfect atmosphere. Dinner was then served in front of the villa’s charming façade, at a single 22-meter-long imperial table, beautifully decorated with a runner of candelabras, long-stemmed candles, and floral arrangements in shades of pink, from soft peach to vibrant fuchsia.
A Magical Evening of Music and Light
As the evening continued, the jazz band’s notes filled the air while guests enjoyed a surprise performance by the opera singer in the villa’s ancient amphitheater, a moment of pure emotion that left everyone speechless.
Later, the newlyweds cut their delicious millefeuille wedding cake, surrounded by sparkling fountains that illuminated the night sky. Dancing followed until late, ending a day full of elegance, joy, and unforgettable memories.
