A thrilling ceremony in Perugia, followed by the reception at Torre di Pila, immersed in the beauty of Umbria
This beautiful Canadian couple decided to organize their wedding in Umbria. Lovers of good wine, Italian food and the bucolic views that the Umbrian countryside offers, they made their dream come true by getting married at the Church of San Michele Arcangelo in Perugia, one of the oldest churches in Italy, characterized by its circular structure.
This church is truly evocative, in fact it is composed of exposed brick walls, a circular nave open in a single chapel and sixteen columns. The exciting ceremony took place to the notes of a pianist and an opera singer, an immersive combination.
The reception was instead set up at La Torre di Pila, a villa on right outside Perugia, immersed in the heart of Umbria. It is a villa furnished in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century style. From the stone tower you can see a breathtaking view, from the surrounding plain, to the hills up to Assisi, Perugia and Lake Trasimeno.
The approximately 70 guests were welcomed in the wonderful Italian garden, enjoying an aperitif with local food enjoying the notes of a fabulous jazz quartet.
The dinner was set up in front of the enchanting facade of the villa, a single imperial table 22 meters long decorated with a runner of candelabra with long-stemmed candles and vases of flowers with shades of various shades of pink, from peach to fuchsia. A really elegant and colorful setup.
The dinner continued in company of the notes of the jazz group and a surprise awaited the guests in the ancient amphitheater of the villa. Once again, a beautiful performance by the opera singer who gave everyone a timeless emotion.
Afterwards there was the cutting of the cake, a delicious millefeuille, and to frame the beautiful newlyweds some luminous fountains. Dancing followed until late at night. Truly an unforgettable day full of emotions.
Daniela and her team have been incredible on the day of the wedding. Very discreet but in charge of the whole event. They managed all the different suppliers making sure every detail was done perfectly and we were impressed with the result!
