Amazing Jewish wedding at Villa Gaia Gandini

A lovely wedding a few steps from Milan

Our beautiful couple decided to combine their cultures together by opting for a civil ceremony before the wedding day and for a symbolic ceremony that recalled Jewish traditions, being the bride Jewish.

They got married civilly on Friday in the Hall of Mirrors of Palazzo Reale in Milan, and then continued the day with a characteristic aperitif on board a historic tram which allowed their guests to enjoy a small tour of the city. To then offer the guests a welcome dinner that combined Shabbat with a typical and tasty Milanese dinner.

As for the wedding day ceremony, the bride and the groom chose Villa Gaia Gandini, a 14th century villa located on the bank of the Naviglio Grande in Robecco sul Naviglio. The Chuppah was set up in the beautiful park, they chose a simple and elegant style, it was in fact made up of four birch trunks decorated with flowers and leaves.

The beginning of the ceremony was marked by the procession of bridesmaids and witnesses and the entrance of the couple at the same time, both accompanied by their parents and the musical background of an acoustic guitar. The ritual continued as per tradition and ended with the breaking of the glass.

The 130 guests were then invited to participate in the aperitif, arranged both in the garden in front of the villa and in the splendid internal rooms, and were able to savor excellent food accompanied by the notes of a musical trio. Splendid cups containing large and rich compositions of apricot gypsophila were chosen as the floral decoration.

At the end of the aperitif, it was time for the hora dance, a traditional dance that brings everyone together in a large circle that rotates counterclockwise. The internal courtyard of the villa hosted this truly engaging moment, full of laughter and love.

The dinner was also set up in the internal courtyard, three long imperial tables in exposed wood, set up with games of flower vases and candles, with a splendid mix of colors, in shades of orange, pink and apricot.

The elegant mise en place was made up of decorated gold wooden underplates, silver cutlery and a menu embellished with a gold wax seal with the initials of the bride and groom’s names.

The party then continued with the cutting of the cake, a delicious and colorful millefeuille, and the DJ set in the internal rooms of the villa. A day full of joy, love and sharing, which the bride and groom and all their family and friends will remember for a long time.

If you want your wedding to run smoothly and to be executed with utter elegance, class and style then go ahead and use SugarEvents. I can’t recommend them highly enough. I would rehire over and over again.
